COOKIES, IN PLAIN WORDS

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. Some are needed to make the shop work. The rest are your choice, and you can change that choice at any time.

Which ones we use

Necessary

These make the shop work. They remember what is in your basket, keep your session secure and store your cookie choice itself. Without these cookies you cannot place an order, so we do not ask for your consent for them. Nor is it permitted to be otherwise.

Personalisation

These remember your preferences, such as the language in which you view the shop and what you have looked at before, so that you do not have to set this up again each time.

Analytics

These show us how many people visit the shop and which pages they read. For us that is not curiosity but work: if nobody gets past the first page, that page is not good enough. We look at numbers, not at people.

Marketing

These make it possible for you to see our adverts elsewhere, and for us to measure whether an advert achieves anything. If you say no, you will still see us, just in a less targeted way.

Changing your choice

At the bottom of every page you will find the button to open your cookie preferences. There you can switch each category on or off separately, and your choice applies immediately. You can also delete cookies in your browser; we will then ask you again on your next visit.

03  ·  RETENTION PERIOD

How long they stay

Necessary cookies usually disappear as soon as you close the shop, except for the cookie that remembers your choice. That one stays for a maximum of twelve months, so that we do not bother you again on every visit. Cookies for analytics and marketing stay for a shorter or longer time, depending on the party that places them.

Who places them

Our shop runs on Shopify, which places the necessary cookies and processes your cookie choice. For analytics and marketing, other parties may be added as soon as we use them. Which ones they are and what they do with data is set out in our privacy policy.

05  ·  YOUR RIGHTS

Your rights

You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and you may object to its use. An email to info@tres-vera.com is all it takes. You will get a reply from one of us within 48 hours.
