Our Materials

Honest materials, nothing wasted. Tres Vera is not loyal to a single stone or metal. We are loyal to nature, and we choose each material for what it does for the body.

Stainless steel, the modern, hygienic choice

Steel is the clean heart of the range. We use high grade stainless steel, the same family of metal trusted in surgical and kitchen tools, because it is non porous. Nothing soaks in. It does not hold oil, serum, or bacteria the way a softer surface can, so a quick rinse under warm water returns it to new. Steel is also an excellent conductor of temperature, which is the quiet secret of a good facial tool. It turns cold quickly and holds that cool far longer than stone, and it is that lasting coolness that calms warm skin and helps ease puffiness with every pass. It will not chip, crack, or dull, so a single tool lasts for years, and at the end of its long life steel is endlessly recyclable. Clean, cool, and built to be kept.

Natural stone, jade and quartz

Stone is the oldest tool in beauty. Jade has been used in Chinese skincare and culture for more than two thousand years, prized for its naturally cool touch, its smooth glide, and its place as a symbol of purity and wellbeing. The practice of gua sha, drawing a smooth edge slowly along the skin, grew out of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been passed down for generations. Rose quartz carries its own long association with calm and self care. What makes stone special is sensory and cultural at once. It holds the temperature of the room, warms gently with the body, and asks you to slow down. That is why stone tools are still loved across the world today, not as a passing trend, but as a ritual with deep roots.

Why we refuse plastic

Most mass produced beauty tools are plastic, and we will not use it. Plastic is porous, so it collects bacteria and residue against the skin. It feels light and disposable because it is, and it breaks down over time, shedding microplastics into water and soil. It is the opposite of everything Tres Vera stands for. A tool you press to your face every evening should be clean, lasting, and honest, never cheap and never throwaway.

Wood, bronze and copper

Below the face, the body asks for warmer, living materials. Smoothed wood is gentle and warm in the hand, ideal for the dry brushing ritual that wakes the skin and the circulation. Bronze has been shaped into massage tools for centuries, most famously in the Ayurvedic kansa tradition of India, where it is worked across the face and feet to relax and ground the body. Copper has a long, time honoured place in daily care and is naturally antimicrobial, which is why it has been used for tongue cleaning for generations. Each material earns its role by what it does, not by the story it tells.

How we choose

Every tool has to answer three questions before it carries our name. Does it serve the body, with a real and felt benefit. Does it last, so you buy once and keep it for years. And does it return to the earth at the end of its life. Only what passes all three becomes a Tres Vera tool. This is why our range stays small and deliberate, and why it can grow across many natural materials without ever chasing a trend.

The packaging

Even the box follows the rule. Our packaging is recycled, tree free paper. It protects the tool, looks the way the ritual feels, quiet and mineral, and then returns to the earth it came from.
